# Takallum Kids (تَكَلُّم) > Takallum Kids is a free web app that helps children aged about 4 to 11 speak Modern Standard Arabic (fusha). Each unit teaches a handful of words with a picture and audio, then the child says short sentences of two to four words built only from words already learned. No sign-up; progress is saved in the browser. URL: https://takallum-kids.ummahapps.ai/ Publisher: Ummah Apps (https://ummahapps.ai/) Price: free, no adverts Age: about 4 to 11; made for children who can read Arabic letters with vowel marks, using it on their own Interface language: English. Practice language: Modern Standard Arabic, fully vowelled. Sister app for older learners: Takallum (https://takallum.ummahapps.ai/) ## How it works 1. **Meet the words**: each word card shows a picture, the vowelled Arabic and the English, and plays the audio. 2. **Say the words**: the child sees the picture, says the Arabic out loud, taps "Show me" to see and hear it, then taps "I said it!" or "Try again". Try-again words come back a little later in the same round. 3. **Say the sentences**: opens once every word in the unit is learned. Sentences use only words from that unit or earlier ones. 4. **Practise again**: a mix of up to 8 known words and sentences, weakest and least recently seen first. Each unit opens once the words in the one before are learned. Several children can share one device: each adds themselves with a name, an animal and "I'm a boy" or "I'm a girl", and keeps their own progress (tap the name at the top to switch). The boy/girl choice means sentences about themselves and the praise (أَحْسَنْتَ / أَحْسَنْتِ) match the child. ## Units (47 words, 42 sentences) 1.
